How we review
A review on this site is a long-form opinion written by one person, posted with that person's name on it, with a numerical rating attached. We do not review-bomb. We do not write to a deadline that arrives before the credits roll. We do not weight a score for SEO. The review you read is the review the person playing the game actually believes the day they finish it.
The numerical rating is a 0–10 scale where 10 is "the best entry in the series" and 0 is "do not buy." Most games land between 6 and 9. Anything below 6 means the review explains specifically what went wrong. Anything above 9 has to clear a high bar, and we don't hand out tens.
What we review
- The current Rockstar release in the GTA series, when it ships.
- Major editions of past GTA games, especially when remasters or re-releases drop.
- The pre-order editions of an unreleased GTA, with explicit caveats that we have not played the game.
- Spiritual successors and major adjacent releases that the audience would consider when deciding whether to buy GTA 6.
What we don't review
- An unreleased game, full review, before it ships. We have written impressions of trailers and editions; we have not pretended those are reviews of the game.
- Mods, except as part of a broader modding-scene piece on the Blog.
- DLC for older games. Not enough audience interest to justify the work.
- Multiplayer-only experiences. We cover GTA Online tangentially in editions guides; full Online reviews are not what people come here for.
What's coming
A full Grand Theft Auto VI review will land within ten days of November 19, 2026 — once we have actually played the game. Before that, the trailer-impressions piece and the editions value guide are the closest things to a review you'll find here. If a Rockstar pre-launch review embargo lifts and reputable outlets publish their reviews ahead of release, we will link out to those instead of writing speculation.
Who writes these
The site editor, for now. As more reviewers come on, each piece will carry an author byline. We don't ghostwrite under a generic "staff" name.
