Online digital path
Sales tax does not apply to digital purchases via the Rockstar Games Store, Steam, the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, or the Epic Games Store. The sticker price is what you pay. Pre-orders for the November 19, 2026 launch are open across all five.
Physical pickup in California
Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart all carry the standard and deluxe editions. The collector's edition (if it ships) is typically Best Buy and GameStop only. Plan to pre-order at least four weeks before launch if you want a SteelBook bundle.
