Pre-orders for the November 19, 2026 release are at MSRP across every legitimate retailer. AAA Rockstar releases rarely discount in the first 90 days post-launch. The first meaningful sales typically arrive on Steam during the Spring or Summer sale, on PSN during "Days of Play" or "Big Game Hunt," on Microsoft Store during seasonal sales, and on the Rockstar Store during the Black Friday / December holiday window.

When AAA Rockstar releases go on sale
Steam
The first major Steam discount on a Rockstar release usually lands during the Steam Sale that falls 90+ days after launch. For GTA VI shipping November 19, 2026, that would mean the Spring Sale or Summer Sale 2027. Initial discount tends to be 10-20% off Standard.
PSN
PlayStation runs "Days of Play" in late spring and "Big Game Hunt" in the autumn, plus seasonal Black Friday and holiday sales. Rockstar releases typically see 10-15% off Standard, 15-25% off Deluxe during these windows. PS Plus members occasionally see an additional 10% on top.
Microsoft Store / Xbox
Similar pattern to PSN with seasonal Spring, Summer, Black Friday, and Holiday sales. Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate members sometimes get an additional discount layered on top.
Rockstar Games Store
The first-party PC store runs its own calendar with promotions during Halloween, Black Friday, and the December holiday window. Historically the deepest first-party PC discount on Rockstar titles has come from this store rather than Steam.
Authorized digital resellers
Green Man Gaming, Fanatical, and Humble Store run their own VIP / newsletter / member discounts that occasionally stack on top of MSRP during launch-window pricing. Sometimes the cheapest legitimate launch-window path for PC keys.
What to ignore
Sites that promise "90% off GTA 6" pre-launch are not selling Grand Theft Auto VI. Grey-market key resellers (Kinguin, G2A, CDKeys, Eneba, Instant Gaming) often look like sales but source keys from arbitrage and compromised cards. The Take-Two revocation rate makes these "sales" unreliable.
Anti-piracyWe only list legitimate retailers. Piracy happens before launch, on launch day, and for years after. No pirated copy of GTA 6 will ever appear on this site.
